The Origin of This Breathwork Journey
I created this guided shamanic breathwork journey in response to the growing turmoil and chaos unfolding across the Middle East.
6 weeks ago, I visited Tzfat, the ancient mountain city known as the home of Kabbalah — a place where mystics have, for centuries, sat in contemplation of the unseen forces that shape reality. Being on sacred land, feeling the tension, the devotion, the history… something began to move through me.
What became clear is this:
Across traditions — whether in Kabbalah, Buddhism, or Andean shamanic lineages— there is a shared understanding:
That the outer world is a mirror of the inner world.
That breath is the bridge between matter and spirit.
And that within darkness… the seed of light is always present.
The Kabbalists speak of Tikkun — the repair of the world through the refinement of the self.
The Buddha taught that liberation arises when we meet suffering with awareness.
And the Andean sages remind us:
“The wound is the doorway through which the medicine enters.”
This journey weaves these three threads together.
Rooted in the Andean Medicine Wheel, into which I have been initiated, and infused with the cosmology of Kabbalah, this breathwork becomes a prayer in motion — a way to transmute fear, grief, and fragmentation into presence, coherence, and love.
During the recording of the narration, I went into a mode of channeling and without tracking the time, simply allowing the transmission to move through me… the journey completed itself at 24 minutes.
And 24 carries its own medicine.
24 articulating vertebrae — the living axis of the human spine
24 hours — a full cycle of death and rebirth
24 sacred books of the Hebrew Bible — the story of a people encoded in text
In Torah tradition, there are 24 priestly gifts (Matnot Kehuna) that represent service, devotion and sacred offering.
This is a wonderful synchronicity and reminder:
That the same intelligence that structures the cosmos… lives within you.
In these 24 minutes, we move through the gateways of the body and soul —
awakening the energy within, remembering the fullness of the breath, and reconnecting to the beauty of life itself.
With deep gratitude to the artist Poranguí, whose music carries the pulse of the Earth and the spirit of prayer. The soundscape you hear is mixed from his live shows, held with the deepest respect to his vibrational medicine.

Breathwork Instructions & Contraindications
🫁 The Breath Pattern
Inhale → Inhale → Exhale (Sniff-Sniff-Sigh)
Inhale through the nose (twice, short + deep)
Exhale through the mouth with a soft “HA” sound as if you are fogging up a mirror.
💡 Key Guidance
Breathe into the heart and lungs, expanding the chest
Keep the neck, jaw, tongue relaxed
Complete each inhale and exhale fully
Let the breath become rhythmic and continuous
🧪 What You May Feel (The Science)
You may begin to feel lightheaded, tingly, or expanded.
This is normal.
As you breathe deeply and continuously:
Oxygen levels increase
Carbon dioxide decreases
The blood becomes less acidic and more alkaline
This shift alters your nervous system and brain state, allowing you to access:
deeper awareness
emotional release
expanded states of consciousness
⏳ Breath Retention
During this journey, we will practice two exhale breath retentions which means after exhalation, you hold the breath empty for a set amount of time:
First exhale retention: ~30 seconds
Second exhale retention: ~45 seconds
✨ Why We Hold the Breath
When we hold the breath out:
Carbon dioxide rises → increasing oxygen efficiency
The nervous system resets
Thought patterns quiet
Awareness of energy body expands
It creates a doorway into stillness beyond the mind.
A moment where identity softens…
and presence deepens.
⚠️ Important
If you are new:
👉 Only hold your breath for as long as feels comfortable
Never strain.
🚫 Contraindications
If you are:
Pregnant
Have heart conditions
High blood pressure
Pulmonary issues (asthma, COPD)
Epilepsy
Glaucoma
Or any serious medical condition
👉 Do NOT practice breath retention
Instead:
Continue the breath at a slow, gentle pace
Skip the holds entirely
Always listen to your body.
🕯️ Setting Your Space
This is not just an audio — it is a ritual container.
Prepare your space with intention.
🧘 Physical Setup
Lie down on a mat or sit on a cushion
Start with the spine neutral, and if movements naturally occur during the process, allow it.
If laying down, ensure there is no obstruction is under your head
Allow your breath pathways to remain open
🌿 Optional Enhancements
You may choose to create a sacred atmosphere with:
🌲 Frankincense
Contains boswellia compounds (anti-inflammatory)
Supports deeper breathing
Used in ancient temple rituals, including in the Biblical tradition
Opens pathways for prayer and elevated awareness
🌑 Myrrh
Grounding and stabilizing
Traditionally used for protection and purification
Balances emotional intensity
Anchors the body during expanded states
Together, frankincense and myrrh were used in sacred rites across the Middle East to bridge Earth and Spirit.
🌌 Final Note
This is a living prayer.
Each inhale…
is life entering you
Each exhale…
is you returning peace to the world
In Hebrew, the breath is called Neshama —
the Divine soul breathed into form.
So as you begin…
Remember:
You are not just breathing.
You are being breathed… by life itself.
