“What you bury in silence does not die; it grows roots in the body and waits to be remembered.”
— Anonymous
This week I found myself asking this question based on difficult synchronicities that were showing up:
“Is there something in the astrology right now that can explain the coincidences of my dad falling off the treadmill bumping his head, my partner’s mom recovering in a wheelchair post surgery from a fall in the garage and a multiple clients telling me about personal turmoil in their immediate circles that include cancer diagnoses to ER visits?”
In the world of shamanism, there is no such thing as coincidences. However, the way in which we are affected by the stars is not that we are victims of fate. Just as if you were to enter a cocktail party, you’d be swept up by the vibes of social chatter, we have entered a period in the sky where the ‘accidental’ falls, the medical diagnoses are echoing something deeper: a repressed and internalized energy that does more harm than good to the body.
Secrets Reflected in the Body
We are currently under powerful astrological currents.
Saturn is retrograde in Pisces (until 27 Nov) — a time when structure, boundaries, and hidden matters uplifting or resurfacing become the theme.
Neptune is also retrograde in Pisces (until 10 Dec) — dissolving illusions, bringing unconscious content into awareness, especially through the body and psyche.
And adding to this, we have a strong Scorpio flavur in the sky: the Sun, Mercury, and Mars are all in Scorpio. This intensifies the themes of depth, transformation, hidden matters, and unearthing buried secrets whether you like it or not. Scorpio energy is rarely mild. I should know, I was born with my moon, Saturn and Pluto in Scorpio. People who are around me know that my heavily influenced scorpionic field cannot tolerate untruths. And right now, the astrology actually demands truth. It asks us to go beneath the surface, to lift the lids off what we’ve kept locked away, and to reclaim power from that which we have denied.
In plain terms:
When the psyche resists release, the body finds a way to speak.
When we avoid inner truth, Scorpio forces us to interrogate our shadows.
And sometimes, that is a wake up call through a fall, a fracture, or a visit to the hospital.
Hidden Conflicts Coming to the Surface
These past two weeks, I’ve witnessed a repressive pattern in multiple clients who share a horrific common story. These are people who come from families who have been built on generations of silence around known perpetrators. Known fathers, mothers, uncles, aunts, grandparents, or some cousin as a violator who got away. Buried truths to keep the peace. But this is a false peace based on avoidance and deception. Under Scorpio’s illumination, the body will show the price of keeping these held stories held as chronic tension, injuries and even inflammatory illnesses. The injustice of having been wronged and hurt cannot be bypassed and suffocated into forgetfulness.
As one of my teachers says, “healing needs revealing and deep feeling.” There is no way out of challenging emotions, but through the tunnel of anger and the grief.
I see people who choose otherwise, and their bodies either shutdown or they overexert themselves to avoid feeling. It eventually takes its toll. This disassociation from the truth leads to excess weight and rigidity in the spine. The bones and tissues become an archive of compromises that zap their life force.
Even if you are a person who habitually keeps quiet for the sake of peace, and you want to continue suppressing your voice, so as not to rock the boat, Scorpio is the internal storm that shakes the boat anyway.
Ready or not, Scorpio energy doesn’t wait for permission. So it’s in your best interest to deal first or get punched in the face with the truth anyway.
Patterns in the Collective Field
If you’ve noticed a similar wave of illness or mishaps around you, you’re not imagining it.
These transits are not “causing” harm, but they are putting a spotlight on the weak structures on a personal and collective level. Just look at the structural fail of the UK Home Office in their poor systems that deal with immigration. And around the world, you see governments like Argentina and France showing signs of strain on their governmental systems just like a physical body under an unbearable amount of stress due to years of poor care.
Saturn’s influence often reveals where the foundations are unstable: our habits, our posture, our nervous system.
Neptune, meanwhile, softens what’s rigid, dissolving old walls of protection.
And Scorpio? Scorpio tears away the veneer and forces excavation.
When there is a fall or an illness strikes, it’s not random. It’s the body saying: “Stop. Feel. Realign.”
The Medicine in the Mishaps
From a shamanic lens, these falls down the stairs or falls from optimal health are not punishments. They’re initiations.
Every injury, every diagnosis, every physical breakdown is a potential portal of awakening, a call to return to the wisdom of the body and to the humility of the Earth.
When Saturn humbles us, it reminds us that form is finite.
When Neptune floods us, it reminds us that spirit is infinite.
When Scorpio ignites within us, it demands the truth that was locked in darkness.
We live at the confluence of these forces; and when they overflow, the only way through is to surrender.
What This Moment Asks of Us
If you are navigating your own wave of physical, emotional, or energetic disruption right now, consider this a cosmic checkpoint:
Listen to your body as an oracle.
Pain, fatigue, or accidents might not be the problem, but the messenger to a deeper underlying energy.Stop and feel.
Get off the busy train and ask yourself: Why am I moving so fast? What feelings am I avoiding?Use your voice.
You do not have to hold everything together. Let structure serve you, not stifle you. Voice out what you’re bottling up? Your voice is aching for a release. Go scream in the hills, sing some sad songs, or have that difficult conversation that you know needs to happen.Let Scorpio teach you the power of truth.
Your duty is to your integrity. Communicate your truth compassionately, then let go of how others respond to it. You are not responsible for their response nor their personal growth.Let Neptune teach you surrender.
Cleansing tears, long sleep, and periods of not striving are sacred medicine.Ground through presence.
Touch the Earth. Long hugs with a dear friend. Cook something slowly. Walk without a goal. Tap into an expansive space of non-achieving.

This is a pivotal time. The astrological currents are asking us to clear the hidden house of our inner worlds — where secrets, obligations and unvoiced pain have lived. The choice is to stay silent and accrue structural load, or to lean into truth and allow release.
