Welcome to SAGE Shamanic Breathwork Journey through the Medicine Wheel Course
This course is more than just a series of breathwork practices. It is an immersive inner journey through the Andean Medicine Wheel — a path of self-inquiry, transformation, remembrance and reconnection.
SAGE stands for: S.elf Inquiry through A.ltered States of Consciousness and G.uided E.volution.
This work brings together ancient yogic breath practices, self-inquiry, and somatic exploration and shamanic wisdom principles through the Andean medicine wheel to help you reconnect to the deepest parts of yourself.
At its core, this journey is about remembering
…your connection to your body…your connection to nature…your connection to Spirit.
And remembering that healing is not about becoming someone else.
It is about revealing who you already are beneath the conditioning, fear, stress, emotional armor, and unconscious patterns you may have accumulated throughout life.
The medicine wheel is an energetic map used in many shamanic traditions around the world. In this course, we journey through six archetypal stages of awareness and transformation.
Each direction corresponds to:
– an element
– a power animal archetype
– a psychological and energetic theme
– and a deeper layer of consciousness within yourself
Each of the 6 modules of this journey unfolds in the following chapters:
- South — Serpent — Earth: Shedding old identities, survival patterns and unconscious imprints held within the body.
- West — Puma — Water: Exploring emotions, shadow work, courage and the transformation of fear into wisdom.
- North — Hummingbird — Fire: Connecting to destiny, passion, purpose, ancestral guidance and creating a new story for your life.
- East — Condor / Eagle — Air: Expanding into higher awareness, intuition, Spirit, sacred geometry and infinite intelligence.
- Earth Dance — Pachamama: Reconnecting to Mother Earth through gratitude, embodiment, reciprocity and belonging.
- Sky Dance — Cosmos: Opening into the vastness of existence, the stars, infinite consciousness and your connection to all of life.
Throughout this journey, we also work with the Andean understanding of the three worlds:
Uku Pacha — the lower world: the subconscious, the roots, the unseen, the deep emotional and instinctual layers of self.
Kay Pacha — the middle world: the world of everyday life, relationships, work, emotions, choices, and conscious living.
Hanaq Pacha — the upper world: the realm of Spirit, intuition, higher awareness, guidance, and expanded consciousness.
The breath becomes the bridge between these worlds.
By intentionally working with the breath, we begin to access states of awareness beyond the analytical mind. These expanded states can help us release stored tension, reconnect to the body, access deeper emotional truth and cultivate greater clarity, openness, and connection.
The music used throughout this course was intentionally composed and tuned to 432 Hz by my Alen Pace and myself to support nervous system regulation, relaxation, emotional openness. and deeper states of awareness. Combined with the breath and the archetypal journey of the Medicine Wheel, the entire experience is designed to help create the internal conditions for transformation.
How to Use This Course
Each module follows the same structure:
1. Watch the teaching video
This introduces the archetype, the element and the psychological/spiritual themes of the direction.
2. Complete the journaling prompts
The journaling questions are designed to activate reflection, imagination, emotional honesty and deeper self-awareness before the breathwork begins.
3. Practice the breathwork audio
After journaling, set everything aside and enter the guided breathwork experience.
Remember in this course, you do not need to force anything to happen. You do not need to perform spirituality. You do not need to have a “big experience.” Simply breathe. Listen. Feel. Allow. Every experience is valid.
The breathwork practices are best done:
– on an empty stomach
– in the morning if possible
– in a quiet and comfortable space
– either seated upright or lying down
Please listen to your body throughout the process and modify the practices if needed.
Contraindications: This course is not intended to replace medical or psychological care. If you have serious respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological, or mental health conditions, please consult a qualified healthcare practitioner before engaging in intensive breathwork practices.
Most importantly: Move at your own pace. There is no race here.
You may revisit any module as often as you wish. Often, the direction that calls to you most strongly is the direction holding the medicine you most need at that moment in your life.
This journey was designed to feel as though I am there beside you guiding your breath, supporting your process, and reminding you to trust your own inner wisdom.
Ultimately, this journey is not about following me.
It is about learning how to listen to yourself.
Welcome to the SAGE Journey.
To your everlasting evolution 🙏🦋
